About the Author: Sanja Vale Čupić
Sanja Vale Čupić, born on June 2, 1975, is a brand manager by profession and a passionate sailor by heart. For over 20 years, she has sailed the Adriatic Sea alongside her husband and their four children. From sailing through storms and navigating rough seas to experiencing breathtaking sunrises and serene starry nights, Sanja has explored every aspect of sailing—even when pregnant or with her children onboard as infants.
Inspired by her love for the sea and a desire to share the magic of sailing, Sanja conceptualized a sailing simulation game during her maternity leave. Designed on the floor of her home, MediterraNaut is a testament to her dedication to bringing the joy of adventure and discovery to a wider audience.
Sanja has also immersed herself in the world of competitive sailing. She refined her skills with both cruising and racing sailboats, participating in various regattas. Since 2021, she has been managing a sailing club in Pula, Croatia, where she organizes prestigious OPEN and ORC regatta events such are Full Moon Sailing Spectacle, Brioni cup, Arena cup, and others.
